Enable customer to initiate cross-bank collections quickly and easily
Reduce the time spent collecting payments in cash or cheque from your customers with DBS Direct Debit. It is a collection service where you authorise us to collect payments and funds from your customer's bank accounts from different banks. This not only helps you eliminate unnecessary paperwork, but it allows you to start collecting payments, credited directly into your account, in a matter of days instead of weeks.
Why choose DBS Direct Debit?
Your customer (also known as the remitter or payer) signs a Direct Debit Authorisation form to allow you to debit from his/her account, the amount specified and on a predetermined date.
You can then initiate the collection by sending us an electronic Direct Debit Instruction (DDI) file via IDEAL™ (file exchange) or via IDEAL™ Connect containing the remitter / payer’s account information and the deduction amount. This will be sent out for clearing through Guangzhou UMS.
The DDI file needs to be uploaded to Guangzhou UMS by 3pm on a working day, otherwise the collection will be processed the next working day.
No. DDI services are only available for collections in CNY.
